SO... We turn one today!!! Apparently that is supposed to mean something?? LOL (I joke) Of Course it means something!
As I look through my blog, something that I started to occupy my time, and see whether I actually did take writing and fashion seriously, a year down the line, and it seems like I do take both things seriously. I have learnt a lot through the last year, and often my blog has been a place through which I can channel my feelings, and sometimes to prove to myself that I am actually good at something.
Emotional and soppy?? Ya, I know. But, achieving 10000 views was my goal a year ago, and now that it has been achieved... I don't know... where to from here?
I have millions of questions to answer. But the answer probably involves a website! But we shall see what the future holds.
Thank you so much for your unwavering support, it this support that has kept us going for a year. Here is to many more, from which ever continent. The LBD crew will continue to expand and I hope you will continue to read and love our growth!
As a grown blog, a full one year old I say...
Much love and Even more (birthday) Dopeness

Hair, Make up and a Snap back
I don't normally post picture of myself on this blog. But I was having so much fun with some stuff today.
First I got my new frames, which I have been waiting for, for a very long time, plus I received a gift from my little brother, Fizz, a couple of days back, it is a New York Yankees snap back, so I took some photos of that combo.
Then I got bored, and played around with my hair and some make up. These are the results! :)
Much love and even more Dopeness!

Reigniting the Fashion Flame!
It is the day before this wonderful platform for fashion's voice turns one years old. And as the mother of this young child, I have been approaching blogging with a very nonchalant attitude over the past few months. It is because, the flame that was once ignited by fashion within me has been dormant. And because a fashion blog of this nature is not so much about the author, but its readers, being silent is not the best option. But in order to produce quality work, it was time to take a break.
Usually being back in Johannesburg irks me. Not because of the overwhelming pretentiousness of the city at times, but because there is a lack of fashion innovation in this city. However, something has changed within me. And that probably has something to do with the fact that I am home with my family. But, slowly but surely the fashion flame is being reignited.
With the annual Easter Rugby Festival taking place at St John's College, KES and St Stitthians this weekend, the excitement that is within me to have my camera in my hands and taking pictures of people in their element is unreal. There is something about this time in Johannesburg, that gives its people some sort of permission to relax and dress in a way that suits the occasion. Of course there are exceptions to every rule, but generally people put on their wife beaters, snapbacks and Chuck Taylors and enjoy the company they keep over some Brutal Fruit Slushies.
With the above being said, it is a pleasure to be back. Here's to turning one, and thank you for having me!
